Pacquiao’s Take on Mayweather’s Match Against Tenshin Nasukawa

Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao is busy training for upcoming Broner Fight this January 19, 2019. We as well as millions of boxing fans are anticipating a hell of a night just over a week from now. As the fight draws near, Pacquiao is getting busier with every passing day.

But all the hectic training and busy schedule didn’t stop the respected senator of Philippines to banter about his arch rival’s recent performance. Yes, Pacman threw in his comments about the Mayweather vs Nasukawa fight a few hours ago. And yes, it seems both of these men are eyeing a rematch against each-other.

What Pacquiao Had to Say?

It would be appropriate to say that these two men (Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather) are looking for a way to get their rematch after they squared off for the first time. Manny has already had his dress rehearsal (kind of) with Tenshin Nasukawa this week. Pacquiao is yet to have his on the coming 19th this month. It will be a Welterweight championship defense match.

On the eve of such an occasion, Manny took a dig on his rival saying Mayweather’s match against Nasukawa was farcical. More specifically, he called the match “Not Good” for the fans who came to watch both the players.

If you don’t know, Nasukawa threw in the towel as early as the first round after Floyd “Money” Mayweather knocked him down thrice in that round. In the process, Mayweather bagged $9M dollars.

This was an exhibition match where the professional careers of either of the two men didn’t matter. The fight won’t appear there at all. Even then, Pacquiao is critical of Floyd Mayweather. He mentioned, “I won’t do that. If I’m Floyd I wouldn’t do that. An exhibition match where you just knock him out. That’s not good for the fans.”

He further added, “My legacy is already there. I want to be an inspiration to the fans and the people not only inside the ring but also outside the ring.”

The word on Pacquiao’s Training is that he’s doing so with Freddie Roach. The location is Wild Card gym in Hollywood. Pacman is riding a good vibe as he beat Lucas Martin Matthysse in July 2018.

Chances of a Pacquiao vs Mayweather 2?

It’s a good time to remind Pacquiao fans that Floyd “Money” Mayweather and Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao squared off in 2015. That bout was one of the most lucrative event of all of boxing. As per the “Pacman” Pacquiao, he’s not immediately eyeing a rematch. It’s a different matter entirely that we, the fans are anticipating a round two coming.

Pacquiao mentions, “At the age of 40, it’s hard to think about future fights.”

He further adds, “I still have it. God is good.”

A Bit of an Update on Pacquiao vs Broner Fight

Broner is also geared up about the upcoming fight. But luck is somewhat distorted in his case. He drew his match with Jessie Vargas. To double up on that, he lost to Mikey Garcia before the match on the basis of points.

But the young man is confident he’ll be able to put Pacquiao down if he times his punches right. While speaking to Fight Hype he said, “It’s proven that you don’t have to throw a lot of punches to beat Manny Pacquiao. You might only have to throw one and that mother f**** can go to sleep.”

He further adds, “That ain’t a myth, the mother f***** has been asleep before. The most important part of fighting Manny Pacquiao is throwing the right punches at the right time.”

Pacquiao is training with Freddie Roach at Hollywood’s Wild Card gym ahead of his first since beating Lucas Martin Matthysse in July 2018.
